Yesterday afternoon I was out and about speaking to residents in Westhouses and Pinxton. It was great to hear your views, a few local issues were raised that I will follow up on. Thank you to everyone took time to chat with me.

It was lovely to pop in on Marie and her team at Bolsover Flowers this morning, to welcome them to the town centre from their previous much-loved shop at Hillstown. The shop looks absolutely fantastic and the team are very busy getting Mother's day orders together.

I know the roads in our area aren’t good enough at the moment.

I’ve already helped secure millions in extra funding for our roads. And I’m reporting hundreds of potholes a week across our constituency.

Isn't this a lovely use of a long abandoned telephone box. Well done to Old Bolsover Town Council for adopting this and upgrading a great feature in our market town.

This morning the Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board issued an apology for further delays to the opening of the Bolsover Dental practice.

Today the Minister for Levelling Up Delivery - Jacob Young MP - signed the statutory instrument formally creating the new East Midlands Combined County Authority, with an elected Mayor from May.

One of the main issues raised by residents across our constituency is local bus services, especially in smaller and more rural villages.
