I  have held various meetings to discuss improvements to Bolsover Town centre. I was extremely disappointed earlier this year when Bolsover District Council's Levelling-Up Fund (LUF) bid was rejected, but I remain absolutely determined that we will deliver for local residents.

School Funding Announcement

Fantastic news that the Land Trust, who manage the Pleasley Pit site, have been successful in their application for funding from Biffa. The company gives grants to projects that benefit communities living near landfill sites.

Public Sector Pay Awards

** PUBLIC SECTOR PAY AWARDS UPDATE **

The Government has announced they have accepted the independent pay review bodies recommendation for public sector staff in full.

This includes;

7% uplift for police and prison officers

6% for doctors (plus a £1,250 bonus)
