I am absolutely delighted to announce that after nearly four years of hard work and campaigning, the Government have accepted the 16-19 Free School application from The Bolsover School - meaning Post-16 education is returning to the Bolsover Constituency!

I got involved in politics to make a difference, to help create opportunities to those who are forgotten, to give a voice to those who are unheard, and to provide life chances to everyone no matter where you grew up or what has happened to you in your past. If we are serious about levelling up and providing equal opportunity regardless of geography, then post-16 education in the heart of the Bolsover Constituency is a vital piece of the jigsaw. So it was an absolute pleasure to speak with Rt Hon Gillian Keegan, Secretary of State for Education, about today's announcement.

Please share as widely as possible and let everyone know the good news!

Championing Education

Our education services do a phenomenal job with our constituency but with no provision for post-16 and one of the highest computer illiteracy rates in the region more must be done to tackle both of these issues.
