The Bolsover Constituency has some of the biggest health challenges in Derbyshire. Despite being served by three amazing hospitals (Kings Mill, Bassetlaw, and Chesterfield Royal), there is a real short-fall in North Derbyshire for treatment of minor injuries and urgent medical help that's non-life threatening.
That's why Iām launching a campaign to secure a new Urgent Treatment Centre for the Bolsover Constituency which would serve communities across North Derbyshire.
The Urgent Treatment Centre would help to ease the pressure on our local emergency departments and enable emergency medicine specialists to focus on those patients who are seriously unwell.
Well where do I start ā¦ to say the General Election announcement came as a surprise, would be an understatement, but I'm looking forward to the next six weeks, speaking with residents is my favourite part of the job, so I hope to see some of you soon!
