This page shows the campaigns I am engaged in around Clay Cross, Pilsley, Morton and Shirland. If you would like to know more details about any of these campaigns please do not hesitate to email me on mark.fletcher.mp@parliament.uk.
Clay Cross Station
I am working with Lee Rowley MP to develop a railway station at Clay Cross to serve the residents in Pilsley, Stonebroom, Morton, Shirland, Higham, Wessington, Brackenfield, Stretton, and Woolley Moor. I want to see our area benefit from what regional connectivity has to offer: jobs, investment and tourism.
Clay Cross Towns Fund
Since being elected I have working with Lee Rowley MP to help with regional connectivity and access to Clay Cross Town Centre, as well better broadband services, for residents in Pilsley, Stonebroom, Morton, Shirland, Higham, Wessington, Brackenfield, Stretton, and Woolley Moor.
A61
I am working with Derbyshire County Council and North East Derbyshire District Council to secure necessary improvements and increase capacity of the A61 to stop traffic problems affecting Clay Cross and Chesterfield.
Parking in Woolley Moor
Parking in Woolley Moor is a major concern within the local community. I have been working with North East Derbyshire District Council and residents on Hawthorne Close to help resolve this longstanding issue.
